I am a psychologist, a New Yorker, an amateur nutritionist, and an outraged food citizen.  I’ve been living the FoodThink life since long before I gave it a name, using it both to enjoy food while keeping my weight in check, and (apparently!) to drive friends and family mad with my rants and raves about the deteriorating food environment.

So as a favor to those who think I just have good metabolism, and an even bigger favor to those who are tired of my rants, I decided to share my FoodThink ways by starting a blog!

FoodThink is my sophisticated weight management and sanity plan.  It lives at the intersection of weight loss programs, food politics, and cognitive-behavioral theory.  You can read the basics on my website, and I hope you’ll enjoy my blog posts from here on out.
